Frame detail
A guideplate is bolted to the front of the grinder, and then runs in the rail slots on the frame. The grinder is lifted by the eyebolts on the grinder - the plate is for guiding only.date: Jun 25th, 2008
Outside the Wetwell
I just had to throw this picture in, as it is such a gorgeous location. We're all standing around, looking at sewage flowing into a pit, surrounded by ... scenery. My job ain't all that tough, I guess.

Porter Creek Siphon, Whitehorse
A shot down the rail system at the influent coming into the chamber. They build a small 'grit collection' chamber before the grinder, which will collect the grit.
Grinder is a CMD 2410-SDX-2.0, 6mm perforated drum, with immersible motor and lifting bale.

Adjustable Rail system
This retrofit at Porter Creek, Whitehorse, Yukon has some challenges, so the contractor devised this method of adjusting the installation of the frame.

Channel Monster Double Drum AD
The AD version of the Channel Monster incorporates side rails, and heftier construction. This unit features the SS coil drums and hydraulic drive, and was retrofitted into an old comminutor pit. This view is of the downstream side, prior to flow being allowed into the channel.

CDD5016-XDM-2.5
New style CDD 5016-XDM-2.5 Channel Monster with 2.5" drive shafts and larger cutters. Coil screen drums.
This one is a 'multi-headed monster' with a 10 HP immersible motor driving the cutters and two 1 HP motors for the screen drums.
